Its micron-sized positively charged asphalt particles can be easily attached to the negatively charged solid particles, thus it can reduce the ζ potential of clay particles, compress double electrode layer, decrease the hydration shell thickness, and effectively?stabilize?the clay shale; meanwhile, it involves in the development of the mud cake, and improves its quality. It can also enter the micro fractures of borehole wall, generating conglutination and aggregation. With all the performances above, this product plays an important role in formation sealing, bridging, anti-swelling, anti-sloughing, lubricating, water-loss reducing and hydrocarbon reservoir protecting.????????????
