- Polyacrylamide (PAM) used in Water Treatment
Product Overview
Polyacrylamide (Registration No.: 9003-05-8) or PAAm,PAAM, PAM for short, is the homopolymer of acrylamide (AM) or the general name of the linear polymer copolymerized by AM and other monomer. PAM is a linear water soluble polymer and one of the most widely used water-soluble polymer products. It has performances including flocculation, thickening property, shear resistance, resistance reduction and dispersion. With difference in derivative ions, these performances focus differently. Therefore it is widely used in oil production, water treatment, textile printing and dyeing, paper making, mineral processing, coal washing, pharmaceutical, sugar, farming, building materials, agriculture, etc. and it is called “additives in almost every industry” and “universal product”. PAM belongs to fine chemical product and also belongs to new materials. Ultra-high molecular weight polyacrylamide is one of the eight fine chemical products given national priority to the development.
